Coix lacryma-jobi L. var. ma-yuen (Roman.) Stapf Poaceae
This annual is found in China and Indochina. Its plant height is 100 to 150 cm and the flowering period in Japan is September to October. The roasted seeds and pericarp are ingredients for "Hatomugi tea", a kind of health tea. The medicine used to remove a verruca is made from coix seed extract.
