Syzygium aromaticum (L.) Merr. et L.M.Perry Myrtaceae
This plant is a tropical evergreen tree, and grows wild in the Indonesian Moluccas. The plant height is 10 meters and the flowering period is September to March. The essential oil which is extracted from buds and leaves has anesthetic activity and is used to relieve toothache. This plant is well known as the source of the clove spice.
