Apricot Kernel is the seed of Prunus armeniaca Linneá , Prunus armeniaca Linneá var. ansu Maximowicz or Prunus sibirica Linneá (Rosaceae).
Apricot Kernel contains ingredients such as amygdalin and is said to have an antitussive effect. It is also used to add aroma to almond jelly for dessert.
