Magnolia Flower is the flower bud of Magnolia biondii Pampanini, Magnolia heptapeta Dandy (Magnolia denudata Desrousseaux), Magnolia sprengeri Pampanini, Magnolia salicifolia Maximowicz, or Magnolia kobus De Candolle (Magnoliaceae).
Magnolia Flower contains coclaurine as an ingredient and is said to have sedative and analgesic effects. The flower buds of Magnolia kobus, which bloom in early spring, have a refreshing scent and are used as crude drugs.
